The opening reception of Alumni on 5: Alumni in the Library Exhibitions, "Revolution of Self" was a huge success! Thanks to all of the artists who submitted their amazing work.

The Spring 2011 Alumni on 5 asked artists to discuss their own necessary fictions as expressed in their art. We explored personal histories and which facts and which fictions we reveal and conceal, as a means of existence.
In coordination with the Columbia College Chicago Library and Critical Encounters, the Fall 2011 Alumni on 5 Exhibition, "Revolution of Self", will explore the rawness of self-portraiture and self-exploration when it is approached with honesty, both brutal and beautiful; our necessary non-fictions.
